PAW Prints

Our semi-regular trip around the blogs and websites of Photographers Alliance Workshop leaders.

Rod Barbee – Rod posted a blog about Photographing Oregon’s wine country using Singh-Ray filters. There are great images and lots of good information in the article. Read the blog post here.

Paul Burwell – Paul wrote another of his gems on professional photography. If you’ve ever thought about being a pro, read this article on Paul’s’ blog and then if you are still in, sign up for PAW’s Getting Seen and Going Pro workshop.

David Muse – David has just published his newsletter for June. You can read about the HonFest and much more on his website.

Brenda Berry and David Middleton – Believe it or not we let these two travel together. They just came from scouting Tofino for a 2010 PAW workshop. You can read about it here and see all the pretty pictures here.

Scott Rouse – If you didn’t sit through the hours long Apple developers conference, no worries Scott has all of the juicy details on his website.

Gary Stanley - Gary will be speaking at he New England Camera Club Council. His presentation is Getting the Most out of your Printer. The date is July 10.

There are a lot of things happening at PAW and with my friends. Here are some highlights:

Paul Burwell
Paul wrote a great review of Animoto. As Paul calls it provides “slideshows that don’t suck”. How can you not want to read that? Here is the link, go read it!

David Middleton
It had to happen sooner or later, David Middleton is blogging! Take a look at his latest post about using a wide angle lens in small spaces.

PAW
Well since you are reading this you already know our new website is live. Did you also notice that we have added a new workshop? One of the most anticipated workshops is the Getting Seen and Going Pro workshop with David Middleton and Scott Rouse. Get signed up in a hurry as this one will sell out fast. Seriously, don’t wait sign up here!

Rod Barbee
Rod is offering an online Image Critique Service. For a very modest fee you can have a great pro photographer give you advice about your photography. Here is the link.

Gary Stanley
Gary has written an article about the Use and Selection of lenses. He makes some great points for novice and advanced users alike. You can read about it here on Gary’s website.

Scott Rouse
Well besides building this website for PAW, he actually has had time to update his web gallery with some landscape photos. Check them out here on his site.

Over at Scott’s Lightroom Lab he has a new book review of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2: Visual QuickStart Guide by Nolan Hester. You can read the review here.

Twitter
Admittedly we are not that good with twitter yet, but we promise to get better. You can follow us at PhotogsAlliance. Some of our leaders are also tweets. Follow Paul Burwell at paul_burwell, ScottRouse at TheLightroomLab and Jeff Wendorff at jeffwendorff.
